Coagulation test for determination of activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (aPTT). The fluid reagent consists of a watery suspension of phospholipids and ellagic acid. Siron® is sensitive to heparin.
Test principle
The sample is incubated with Siron® LS. At 37°C the reaction with 0,025 molar CaCl₂ is started and the time until formation of a clot measured.
