Complete ELISA kit for quantitative determination of high molecular von Willebrand-factor (vWF) multimers, based on the collagen binding activity.
Test principle
The samples are incubated in micro wells coated with a human collagen (Type I). After binding of the vWF-multimers to the collagen unbound substances are removed in a washing step. A peroxidase-conjugated detecting antibody is added and binds to the vWF/collagen-complex. After a washing step the intensity of the resulting colour is proportional to the content of high molecular vWF-multimers in the sample.
