Capture and detecting antibodies for the construction of an ELISA for the quantitative determination of prothrombin
Test principle
Micro wells are coated with prothrombin antibodies (capture antibodies), to which prothrombin from the sample binds. Unbound substances are removed by washing. A peroxidase conjugated detection antibody is added and binds to the prothrombin/capture anti-body complex. After a washing step, an added enzyme substrate reacts with the conjugate. The intensity of the resulting color is proportional to the prothrombin content of the sample.
