Complete sandwich ELISA for the quantitative determination of free and total Protein S antigen in human plasma.
Test principle
The samples are incubated in micro wells coated with antibodies against Protein S (capture antibodies). After binding of Protein S to the capture antibody, unbound substances are removed by washing. A peroxidase conjugated detecting antibody is added and binds to the Protein S/capture antibody complex. After a washing step, added enzyme substrate reacts with the conjugate. The intensity of the resulting colour is proportional to the total content of Protein S in the sample. Free Protein S can be determined, after the samples, controls and reference plasmas have been pre-treated with PEG.
