Reagent for determination of fibrinogen according to Clauss with very high thrombin concentration. Thereby the reagent becomes insensitive to heparin.
Test principle
Diluted citrate plasma is mixed with Thrombin (~ 80 I.E./ml) in excess and the coagulation time determined. The fibrinogen content is plotted against a calibration with normal plasma to find the result of the sample.
